Application Questions:
- Please provide us with the following information:
Personal Name: Thim
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Location: Helsingborg, Sweden
Main Character Name: Eragoth
Class: Paladin
Gear-Score: 5572
Build: 0/53/18
Alt Names/Classes: Xantis - Fury warrior
Usual Playing Time: It's rather random, but I play quite alot now due to that I have no job, but I'm looking for one.
- Do you have Ventrilo 3.1?
Yes I do.
- Do you think you have what it takes to raid 3 times a week?
Aye, i have no schedule to follow in real life so the times fits me, even if I do get a job they'd still suit me great. Performance-wise, I think I got what it takes.
- List your raiding experience, indicate which boss encounter you enjoyed the most and those you found the most challenging:
WoW-Classic
- All contents cleared
WoW-TBC
- All contents cleared up to Sunwell
WoW-WotLK
My experience goes up to Rotface in Icecrown Citadel 25, and up to Blood Prince in Icecrown Citadel 10man.
The encounter I've enjoyed the most so far in my time in World of Warcraft, would have to be Illidan, why? Simply because it was a challenging fight. With weeks of wiping, getting closer and closer until we finally downed him.
- Are you willing to wipe on new encounters and still show up again for another 3 hours of wiping?
Done it before, and I can do it again. If I can do Ulduar hardmodes, I can do Icecrown, no doubt. It's not about loot for me. It's simply about having a good time with fellow guildmembers, with or without downing the boss/bosses.
- Gear - Why have you chosen to stack the stat you have stacked - describe your key stats and the end results they provide etc (do you have any off spec gear worth mentioning?
I simply stack up on stamina, defence and the other common stats a tank should have. While keeping my expertise and hit rating decently high.
- What glyphs do you use for raiding and why did you pick them?
Minor:
- Glyph of Blessing of Kings (50% less mana cost)
- Glyph of Sense Undead (More damage equals more threat)
- Glyph of Lay on Hands (For emergencys, this comes handy)
Major:
- Glyph of Divine Plea (3% less damage taken while it's up)
- Glyph of Hammer of the Righteious (hits 1 more target)
- Glyph of Judgement (again, more damage equals more threat)
- Would you re-spec, short term or long term, for the benefit of the guild?
No doubt.
- Describe your typical DPS/TPS rotation, indicate what DPS/TPS you are able to achieve on an all out fight
I have no real rotation, I go after how the sitation is. And then I use prio, what is best for me at that moment for best TPS possible.
But I always keep Hammer of the Righteious, and Consecration on cooldown. Unless I'm not allowed to use AoE abilities, like on Saurfang with the adds popping up. Other than that I judgement of Light for the threat and benefit it gives to the dps. Shield of rightousness is a given for single target threat. Holy wrath is awesome in ICC due to alot of it is undead.
- Healers give a breakdown of what heals you typically use in what situation, how you maximize your HPS when required, how you conserve Mana when required.
I'm not a healer.
- Post a link of your performance during raids (Wow Web Stats or Screen-shot
I don't have one, sorry.
- What do you think is the role of your class/spec during raids?
Tanking, alot of AoE tanking, as that kind of tanking is well supported for Paladins with strong abilities to keep threat on heaps of mobs.
But ofcourse, we tank bosses with ease aswell, with great threat building and survivability.
- How would you describe yourself as a MMOGRPG player?
(What are your in-game goals? Why do you play?)
A calm one, keeps control of what I'm doing and I strive for perfection in my gaming, trying to do the best I can for what I'm playing. Doing this with other people, like in a guild makes this alot more fun.
- List your guild history and reasons for leaving them or being kicked. Be honest we will find out anyway
(What was wrong with it since you left, and why do you see The Brethren as a better place?)
Not many guilds on this character, alot of PuGs. I was in Paragon for one day, as it had a poor setup and very stiff community, simply not very fun in there nor homey.
- Do you have a decent PC and a stable Internet connection (Below 300 MS and above 20 FPS
If your seizing up in Dalaran you won't handle raids now will you?
I got a brand new computer, in raids I'm always above 100 FPS, and my internet connection is stable so I will never disconnect.
- Why do you want to join us?
(Tell us what you think we are about, by experiences that you had with us in the past, or from what you have heard about us from other people.)
I saw your recruit message in trade channel, and I've only heard good things about you from friends. And your raiding times suits me great.
- What do you expect from the Brethren?
A friendly community, with alot of fun raids and good times.
- Why do you think we should let you join?
I'm a good, trustworthy raider that won't bail out, and I'm a funny guy and makes the atmosphere so much better in raids!(so I've heard).
- Do you know anyone from The Brethren, that can recommend/vouch for you?
(A sponsor is not needed, but encouraged. Please include your sponsor's name, if you have one)
I do not.
Please tell us a bit about yourself.
(The Brethren is a Seasoned Guild with 5 Years of WoW Experience, we like to know people a bit better who wants to join us.)
My name is Thim. I'm a 19 year old guy from south of Sweden. On my sparetime I enjoy working out, playing around with my car, rebuilding and upgrading it. Other than that, I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend Julia and my family.
